The Business Environment Editing and writing The Business Environment was our first experience of textbook publication. We were delighted to have the proposal accepted by OUP in the first place and we have been hugely impressed by the level of support provided by the editorial and production team through the whole process. This included initial encouragement of the proposal, helpful discussion of ideas for the book such as pedagogic features, regular contact including visits to Leeds for editorial meetings and to meet the contributors, an efficiently managed and helpful refereeing process, and (crucially) a sympathetic response to difficulties in meeting deadlines. In fact, the support from OUP helped us to get the final manuscript in pretty much on time. The whole relationship has been enjoyable and rewarding. On the basis of our experience with The Business Environment we will certainly think of contacting OUP first with future textbook proposals.
